You’ll need a bachelor’s degree or a mix of training and experience. Make sure all your degrees come from reputable schools.

- East Carolina University is looking for someone with experience in education, medical, human science, behavioral health, or related fields. It’s a plus if you have some experience in the current education or healthcare environment.
- You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet. Good record-keeping skills are also a must. You should be able to input data into multiple databases.
- East Carolina University is looking for someone who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills are also important.
The final candidates will undergo criminal and sex offender background checks. Some positions also need credit or motor vehicle checks. ECU participates in E-Verify. Federal law requires all employers to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all people hired in the U.S.
If your highest degree is from an institution outside the U.S. and its territories, you’ll need to have your degree validated as equivalent to a degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S.

- Key Responsibilities:
Program Management: Oversee the organization, planning, implementation, tracking, and monitoring of multiple program management activities, including conference arrangements, faculty travel arrangements, health professional credit awards, contracts, grants, correspondence, and timelines for overseeing Eastern AHEC regional and statewide responsibilities.
Event Management: Manage CPD events, including conference setup, attendance, and follow-up.
Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with the Director as appropriate for clarification or additional information. Make independent decisions regarding program and faculty cancellations, implementing the appropriate notification process.
Communication and Collaboration: Utilize excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate frequently with health care professionals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is required.
Self-Direction and Independence: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and make decisions as outlined by the Director.
