About this job vacancy post – Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The ideal candidate will be teaching undergraduate courses in Public Administration at SDSU Imperial Valley, exploring their research interests in Public Administration or Public Policy, and contributing to university committees.

The position is for a Fall 2025 appointment and will be based exclusively on the SDSU-IV campus. You’ll be teaching all your courses there. To be a good fit, you’ll need to have expertise in teaching core Public Administration courses at the undergraduate level in at least two of these areas: Human Resources, Leadership, Local, State, or Federal Government, Management or Organizational Theory, Public Administration or Public Policy, Public Finance, Fiscal or Budgetary Policy, or Research Methods.

The research area is open to your ideas. Since the SDSU SPA Public Administration program is nationally accredited, you should have a clear interest and ability to contribute to academic program administration and accreditation processes. A doctoral degree in political science, public affairs, public administration, public policy, or sociology is required, and your research interests should be clearly related to public administration or public policy.
