This Operations Manager job is responsible for ensuring that the Emergency Communications Department operates in compliance with 911 procedures and Massachusetts State 911 regulations. Additionally, the 911 Operations Manager may be called upon to perform other related duties as needed, including overseeing tasks performed by staff under their supervision.

Education Qualification requirements for Operations Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and five (5) years of related work experience may be considered to meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
- Experience in supervising staff and/or managing the operations of an emergency communications center.
- Current certification as a 911 Telecommunicator in compliance with Massachusetts State 911 regulations and guidelines.
- Must complete training and certification for all positions within the communications center within 12 months of hire.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field.
- At least eight (8) years of related work experience, including supervising 911 telecommunicators and managing a communications center.
- Five (5) years of experience supervising staff and/or managing emergency communications center operations.
