Education Qualification requirements for Operations Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
    • Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and five (5) years of related work experience may be considered to meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
  • Experience in supervising staff and/or managing the operations of an emergency communications center.
  • Current certification as a 911 Telecommunicator in compliance with Massachusetts State 911 regulations and guidelines.
  • Must complete training and certification for all positions within the communications center within 12 months of hire.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • At least eight (8) years of related work experience, including supervising 911 telecommunicators and managing a communications center.
  • Five (5) years of experience supervising staff and/or managing emergency communications center operations.
